A Day in London

Emma woke up early on Saturday because she wanted to visit the British Museum before it got too crowded. She took the underground to the city centre and arrived just as the doors opened at half past nine. The museum was quiet, so she could look closely at the ancient Egyptian artefacts without waiting in long queues.

After two hours of walking around the museum, Emma felt hungry, so she had lunch in a small café nearby. She ordered a sandwich and a cup of tea, and she used the time to look at the postcards she had bought in the museum shop.

In the afternoon, Emma walked to a nearby park to relax for a while before taking the underground back home. She decided that it had been a perfect way to spend a Saturday.
